Ok.. so it’s a joke. While having my name on a stadium or ballpark would be a cool thing for my ego, it would not be such a great thing for my clients. Why?
Think about it…
How much money do these major financial companies and banks spend to put their name on the side of a building? A few million at the least? Who pays for that? Yes, the consumer. That’s why Free Checking is almost non-existent. Oh and those lower rates you are supposed to find at a “bank”… where did those go?
Now you go to a mortgage broker and get a better rate, with more personalized attention and service. The broker gets the money from the “bank” from their wholesale side. On the wholesale side they do not account for the name on the building, so brokers get the money cheaper.
So next time you drive by that big stadium downtown, be glad it doesn’t say Ed Nailor on the side. As a matter of fact, get excited! You now have access to great rates, programs and service for Charlotte mortgage loans because of that!
